Rev. Dr. Shawnthea Monroe,
Senior Minister
Shawnthea will join our Plymouth Church staff January 15, 2008.
Shawnthea grew up in Vermillion, South Dakota. She attended the
University of Minnesota, graduating Magna Cum Laude with a BA
in history in 1988. She went on to graduate work at The Humphrey
Institute of Public Policy, U. of Minnesota. She then attended
Yale Divinity School, graduating Magna Cum Laude in 1995. She
completed her Doctorate of Ministry in preaching at the ACTS Program
at Chicago Theological School in 2007. Shawnthea comes to us from
the First Congregational Church UCC in Moorhead MN.

Rev. Stephen C. Adams, Acting Associate Minister
Stephen joined the staff in October 2006 as Acting Associate
Minister. He was ordained in the Presbyterian Church, USA
in June 1989 and transitioned his ordination to the United
Church of Christ in February 2006. A native of Irwin, Pennsylvania,
he is a graduate of Allegheny College and Pittsburgh Theological
Seminary. For the past 15 years he has been in specialized
ministry as a Spiritual Counselor in end of life care.

James P. Riggs, Director of Music
Holding degrees in Business Management, Sacred Music, and
Organ Performance Jim joined the staff in 1998. He is active
in the American Guild of Organists(AGO) serving as Sub-Dean
of the Cleveland Chapter and serving on the Steering Committee
for the 2003 Region V AGO Convention to be held in Cleveland.

Abigail Rockwood, Intern in Music
Abigail (Abbie) Rockwood joined our music staff in September
2006. She has finished her undergraduate work at Hope College
in Michigan as a student of Huw Lewis. Abbie is currently
working on her Masters at CIM as an organ student of Plymouth
member, Todd Wilson.

Lindsey Robison, Acting Director of Children's Programming
Lindsey is a 2004 graduate of Thiel College, where she majored
in Parish and Elementary Education. Lindsey has experience
as a pre-school teacher and summer camp counselor.
Lindsey and her husband live in Mentor.

Rachel Perry, Director of Operations & Finance
Rachel joined the Plymouth staff in April, 2004. Her past
experience includes economic development finance for both
private and public entitites and statistical poverty analysis
for a university research center. She has a Master's of
Public Administration in Public Finance. Rachel and her
husband have a son and daughter.

Karen Schmauder, Office Manager
Karen joined the Plymouth staff in June, 1996. She graduated
from Shaker Heights High School and John Carroll University.
She is active in her home church where she has served on various
committees and co-directs a puppet ministry. Karen and her
husband have three children and live in Lyndhurst.

Rachel Gardiner, Office Assistant/ Receptionist
Rachel joined our staff December 2005. A graduate of Cleveland
Heights High School, Rachel was born in Missouri and has lived
in California and Japan. In fact, her first language was Japanese.
She lives in Cleveland Heights with her son. Rachel works
in the office Tuesday - Thursday.

Jean Albrecht, Dir. Parent's Day Out
Jean Albrecht joined the Parent’s Day Out staff in 2005
and took over as Director of PDO in 2007. She is a graduate
of Kenyon College and holds a Master’s Degree in Teaching
from Wheelock College. She has been working with young children
since 1988. Jean lives in Shaker Heights with her husband
and two children.

Sky Arsinchuck, Property Manager
Sky has been Property Manager since November 2004. Before
coming to Plymouth Sky was Property Manager for Gali's Garden
Center and the Sexton at Christ Episcopal Church. He continues
to perform handyman repair side jobs when he's not here. Sky
grew up in Cleveland. He has 2 daughters and 6 grand children.
In his spare time, Sky spends time with his fiancee Laurie.

Gale Jones, Housekeeper
Gales has been Housekeeper at Plymouth since 1979! She has
seen lots of changes over the years and she knows many of
our current and past members well. Gale, who has an identical
twin sister and three brothers, was born and raised in Cleveland
and still lives close by. She has a daughter, a son, three
grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Her friend, William,
teaches at Tri-C. In her spare time Gale likes plays, movies
and bowling.

James Lake, Evening & Sunday Custodian
James joined our staff in May 2006. He has been in custodial
work since 1993. James and his wife have seven children and
ten grandchildren. In his spare time James enjoys bicycling,
playing sports and spending time with his large family.
