Service Trip

Location:
Minneapolis, Minnesota

That’s right, this June we’ll be going Northwest to the land of the resettled Vikings. This year, we have a new mission to embrace, as we take on two projects for the Make a Wish Foundation of Minneapolis.  More details are in the works, but we we wanted to give you as much time as possible to ensure we have a full crew for another great week.
Background:
We will provide two wishes on this trip. Both of these young boys have been waiting over a year for someone to fulfill their requests. The first wish is for 12 year old Sam. Sam was diagnosed with a life-threatening neurological condition that keeps him mostly home-bound. We will be building an awesome backyard makeover complete with a climbing wall, fire pit, and patio area, so he can enjoy the great outdoors. The second wish is for an 8 year old boy named Eamon, who has leukemia. Eamon will get a really cool Octagonal Cypress Pavilion/Gazebo, with electricity and eight-paned windows, where he can experience nature and relax with his family and friends.
Dates:
Sunday, June 18, through Saturday, June 24.
Registration Info:
$350 total person,

2010 Mission Trip, Alamosa CO, Habitat for HumanityCordia_2497Plymouth Church believes that faith development is just as important outside the church walls as it is within them.  Service trips are an essential part of this development.Sixth graders through twelfth graders, along with several dedicated adult leaders, are given the opportunity to leave our comfortable surroundings and head off to the places where God calls us to serve. This has included trips to Puerto Rico, Mississippi, West Virginia, Philadelphia, Pine Ridge (SD), Yakima (Washington State), and Perryville (Arkansas). This is an opportunity to serve by building homes for those in need, getting to know people from a different culture and exploring what it means to truly live the life of faith. If you have a chance to go on a service trip, you will not soon forget it.
