Sunday Morning/Worship
All-Church Advent Wreath Workshop. Instead of Adult Ed and Sunday School, gather at 9:30 am in Fellowship Hall for coffee, juice and donuts, and create your own Advent wreath. To cover the cost of supplies, we ask for a donation of $6 for just greens and candles or $10 for the “all-inclusive” package, which has the Styrofoam ring and decorations. Sign up is outside the Parlor.
Gratitude is extended to Neil Mueller and Feza Zweifel for their musical leadership on November 23.
Music Ministry Fund: Bea Muller makes today’s music possible through a gift to the Music Ministry Fund in memory of Max Muller. The anthem Eternal God is a gift by Jane Peeling to the Chancel Choir library in honor of Michael Parry’s 50th birthday.
Music Notes: On this Thanksgiving Sunday we gather together to express our gratitude to God. The music, hymns, and texts for this service have been chosen to reflect our thanks for creation, music, God’s Word, and our gratitude for the rich history and ministry of Plymouth Church.
Hunger Offering collected November 23. The Hunger Offering is donated to the local Hunger Centers of InterAct, Shaker Community Church and the UCC Hunger Fund which works to end world hunger. Make checks payable to Plymouth Church and earmark “Hunger Offering.” For cash, please use the ivory offering envelope (and mark the ‘Hunger’ box) found in the pew racks.
Join us as we continue to celebrate the 95th anniversary of the Candy Circle at a special reception in Fellowship Hall following worship on November 23.
You are all invited to the Ordination Service for Plymouth member Martha Bays, Saturday, December 6, 2:00 pm.
Adult Education, 9:30 am, Room 102:
November 23: All Church Advent Wreath Workshop, Fellowship Hall
November 30: No Adult Ed, nor Sunday School
December 7, 14, 21 and January 4: Spiritual Journaling. For most of us, Advent becomes a balancing act as we try to accomplish all the extras this season requires while our inner lives long for an oasis of rest. Journaling gives permission to let go of external agendas and dwell beside our own still waters. As words come, we’ll write them down with no fear of judgment. Journal writer Burghild Nina Holzer claims, “Talking to paper is talking to the divine.” All we need for this conversation is a pen, notebook or journal and a willing heart. Facilitated by member Linda Tuthill.
“Christmas Pageant” – December 24, 5:00 pm
• Christmas Pageant Orchestra. Adults and youth are invited to be a part of the Pageant Orchestra. Sign up by November 23. Music will be available November 30 and one rehearsal will be held Saturday, December 20, 11:00 am – noon.

Feed Our Neighbors. To respond to people who come to the church in need of food, the Caring Department facilitates a "Feed Our Neighbors" Initiative at Plymouth Church. The Caring Department needs your help. Please consider doing any of the following:
Buy a grocery store gift card from any local grocery store in a $20/$25 denomination. Bring to the office, attention "Feed Our Neighbors."
Make a cash/check donation to the church, earmarked for the "Feed Our Neighbors" Initiative - we will use the funds to buy coupons and actual groceries.
Purchase any of the following items and drop them off in the box marked "Feed Our Neighbors" Initiative outside the sanctuary. Needed: pasta, spaghetti sauce, breakfast cereal, rice, canned vegetables, canned fruits, canned tuna, instant pudding, plain crackers.
IHN VOLUNTEER RAIN CHECK: Recognizing not everyone is able to volunteer with IHN, we invite you to make a monetary contribution. Your gift will help drive a child to school, cloth a baby, provide job training for a parent. The special contribution envelopes are on the counter by the sign-up sheets. Place your envelopes in the offertory plate or bring them to the office.
Meals. Volunteers are needed to prepare and/or deliver a meal to someone in need in our congregation. There's lots of ways you can help! Please contact Beth Karr if you'd like to be a part of this important mission.
